unnecessary vitriol
A bit late to the anti-Potter party, I know. In my defence I made this at the time of release, and just never got around to publishing it. I suspect witchcraft is to blame.
In other news, any non-NGA related bloggage by me will now occur here, where it rightfully belongs.

warts and all
I'm somewhat disturbed to discover that "gentile warts" is still the top performing search term leading people to this site.
Just to be clear: if you have found Newtown Ghetto Anger by searching for "gentile warts" then I am reasonably certain that the correct spelling of the word you are looking for is not g-e-n-t-i-l-e but g-e-n-i-t-a-l.
A gentile is someone who is not Jewish. A genital is a reproductive organ. Therefore genital warts would be warts on the aforementioned organ, whereas gentile warts would be warts that do not affect Jewish people.
I'm skeptical as to whether the latter kind of warts exist.
That is all.

on tv
In my other guise as one half of comedy-rock duo mrs.peacock, I'll be on the television tomorrow night.
9.30pm, Maori Television, Saturday 23 June. It's a 2 hour special on this year's Billy T Awards.
SPOILER: we end up winning.
Tune in, and so on.

festive
Sorry for the lack of recent updates - I'm deep in the middle of the comedy festival at the moment and so all my energies are devoted to that. Both Newtown Ghetto Anger and Cone of Science will return soon though.
In the meantime, you might like to come to my comedy festival show in Wellington or Auckland.
Just sayin.
UPDATE:
We've just been reviewed by Theatreview. Check it out.
UPDATE 2:
All over. mrs.peacock won the Billy T award. Normal service to resume shortly.

news from the world of comedy
Rookie Comedy Competition at San Francisco Bathhouse
Once again it's rookie comedy competition time at the Wellington Comedy Club. If you've ever thought about giving standup a go, now's your chance.
The gig is at 8pm on Thursday 29 March at the San Francisco Bathhouse, and will be hosted by C4's Dai Henwood.
If you'd like to give a go, get in touch with me using the email address to the right and I'll put you in contact with the right people.
If you'd just like to come along and watch, tickets will be $10 on the door.
NZ International Comedy Festival 2007
This year's installment of the Comedy Festival is on the way this May, and once again there's going to be an awesome lineup of local and international acts.
Including my act, mrs.peacock. We've been nominated for a Billy T Award this year. You should totally come and see our show, and stuff.

so fresh and so clean
It's been a busy week. On Monday my musical comedy act mrs.peacock got nominated for a Billy T Award, on Wednesday I got voted in as President of the New Zealand Comedy Guild, on Friday I went to the Big Day Out, and today I mowed the lawn and also installed two new light fixtures.
One of the above activities greatly increased the supply of light in my living and dining areas. [Hint - it wasn't the Big Day Out. That was in Auckland.]
Hope you enjoyed your summer break. Any suggestions for NGA subjects in 2007 would be most welcome.
